چکیده
1. Briefly, what approach or combination of approaches did you test in each of your submitted runs? KB_lab: This system extracts the facial image from each cut scene frame using the Haar-like operator, and then eliminates noise images (non-facial image) using SVM. Next, SIFT features are detected from the true facial image, and the similarity of the facial image is calculated using the SIFT features.

TRECVID 2010 Experiments at Dublin City University
This year the DCU-CLARITY-iAD team participated in the both the instance search and interactive known-item search tasks of TRECVid 2010. For our instance search submission, we used classifiers to search for candidate objects in each keyframe. This was achieved by a coarse-to-fine search based on a hierarchical representation of the regions in the keyframes. Our results proved inconclusive, but ...

This paper reports our experiments for three TRECVID 2010 tasks: instance search, semantic indexing, and content-based copy detection. For the instance search task, we present a simple approach that uses face-specific features for PERSON and CHARACTER queries and a combination of local and global features for the OBJECT and LOCATION queries. For the semantic indexing task, we report two approac...
متن کاملIRIM at TRECVID 2010 : Semantic Indexing and Instance Search
The IRIM group is a consortium of French teams working on Multimedia Indexing and Retrieval. This paper describes our participation to the TRECVID 2010 semantic indexing and instance search tasks. For the semantic indexing task, we evaluated a number of different descriptors and tried different fusion strategies, in particular hierarchical fusion. The best IRIM run has a Mean Inferred Average P...

متن کاملKB Video Retrieval at TRECVID 2010
This paper describes KB Video Retrieval's participation in the TREC Video Retrieval Evaluation for 2010. This year we submitted results for the Semantic Indexing, Known-item Search, Instance Search, and Event Detection in Internet Multimedia tasks. Our goal this year was to evaluate ranking strategies and expand our knowledge based approach to a variety of data sets and tasks.
